Privacy Policy
Effective October 26, 2026
Produced Water Intelligencer (PWI) is published by Christian Lombardini in Midland, Texas. This policy covers visitors and registered users.
Our promise
We will never sell or rent your personal information, for any reason, at any time.
We will never ask for your password. If sign-in is needed, use your account provider’s own sign-in page.
What we use
We receive information you choose to give us, such as your name, email and messages. Sign in with ChatGPT can provide your name, email and account identifier with your approval. Our hosting providers handle IP addresses and browser details to deliver and secure the site. Reporting and directories may include public names, roles, images and business contact details.
We may use voluntarily supplied information for internal operations, business, responding to you and marketing PWI’s services. We obtain consent where required. You can stop marketing messages at any time.
We rely on your permission where required, providing services you request, and our legitimate needs to operate, secure and improve PWI.
Providers and sharing
OpenAI and Cloudflare provide hosting and access services. Porkbun and Google handle our email forwarding and inboxes. They process information needed for those services. Additional service-provider sharing will be disclosed here. We may also disclose information when required by law.
We load Google Analytics 4 automatically when you visit PWI to measure visits, page views, traffic sources, device and approximate location information, and interactions such as clicks on linked stories and sponsor websites. Google processes this usage data on our behalf and uses first-party analytics cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. We do not send names, email addresses or message contents as analytics event data. Advertising storage, advertising user-data consent and advertising personalization are disabled in our site integration.
PWI does not provide an on-site analytics opt-out toggle. Browser privacy settings and extensions may limit Google Analytics collection. Changing browser settings does not delete data already processed. Hosting and sign-in services may use necessary cookies. Outside images and links connect to other providers, whose privacy practices apply to their services.
Providers may process information outside your country. OpenAI’s Sites data-processing terms describe its safeguards for international transfers.
Your choices
We keep personal information only as long as needed for these purposes, security or legal obligations. Email us to request access, correction or deletion, withdraw consent, restrict use, or stop marketing. We handle requests under applicable law; you may also complain to your privacy regulator.
We will date policy updates here. Changes will not remove our promise never to sell or rent your information.
